Coaching Philosophy
As a Coach I practice bringing valuable experiences, values and sport safety
ensuring a safe environment. The well being of skaters is the main focus at all levels
of our sport. Positive feedback along side constructive feedback will build an athlete’s
confidence. I always encourage skaters to set realistic goals and with hard work and
determination we will work as a team to accomplish these goals.
No matter what level or skating program a skater chooses, skating has many learning skills
and tools which will benefit the athlete throughout their life time such as self awareness,
empathy, motivation, accountability, coping skills and much more.
Skating has taught me by keeping physically active and having social skills is healthy for
everyone's well being. To this day I continue on with relationships with coaches that I have
worked with throughout the years and also with many of my ex skaters who I coached in
the past.
